About Lead Architect: Brian Billingsley Architect AIBC WA Brian is a registered architect and obtained a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of British Columbia in 1998. Since establishing b Squared Architecture Incorporated in 2005 he has garnered a number of innovative single-family, multi-family and mixed-use commissions currently in various stages of construction and design. Prior to this, Brian interned with some of the most notable architecture firms in Vancouver, acquiring work experience in a diverse range of typologies – single-family, high-rise tall buildings, transportation and institutional buildings - many of which have been recognized nationally and internationally. Brian is a regular critic at the UBC School of Architecture and mentors three interns. Emily Davies M.Arch Before graduating from University of Manitoba with a Master of Architecture degree in 2014, Emily worked for b Squared Architecture for two summers prior. She holds a Bachelors of Architectural Science from BCIT and is currently beginning her internship programme through the AIBC. Emily is a strong team player and her ability to work through problems both at a design level and at a technical level is a great asset to the office. Alex Schwarz BA Interior Architecture and Design Since graduating from University of Applied Science Rosenheim with a Bachelors of Arts in Interior Architecture and Design in 2013, Alex worked in Germany (her native country) for a number of architects doing interior design and coordination. Since starting at b Squared Architecture, last summer, Alex has helped advance the office's directive to become fully BIM integrated. Her thoughtful use of interior lighting and material choices fulfills a previously untapped component within the office.
